Interesting auction. Any takers?

Checked the history, it's the first time that they have done it. :?
Seems a bit risky to me.

AndyP if you want to play in Colonial I probably can ask my uncles who are members there.

I played with them many times, only cost me $35 or alike... with cart too :)

But it's not in a comp thu.

You could call the course and see if that tee time is taken, or if they are aware a tee time is being auctioned? I think this has been done before for other courses, who are generally pretty happy for it to occur to ensure they fill their time sheet.

Note: I am not actually interested in this offer. I just found it to be a weird auction. If you read it, you will see that no specific time is stated. It's just you and your mates organising a round with some guy who says he plays off 22, and wants to play against you for money.

I wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole.

You could take him AP! Have a crack!

Got to say, sounds like fun - although i'd have someone around me who can back themselves up with a pack of ninja golf sticks.

Though could be a 'burglar' - AND he's off a "Handy Cap" of 22

I'm guessing this guy is a member there. This is his way of organising a game and possibly making a bit of a return into the bargain given that the fees for accompanied visitors would be less than the full rate.

For Sydneysiders at least this looks more legit, they are selling consecutive times on the same day, don't know if they've done it before.

What are the advantages of a handy cap over a regular cap?

I may have to invest in one.

Kind regards,

These gusy are apparently legit, I asked a couple of friends who are members.....As for the Gold Coast guy, stay away....FAR away.....that 22 Handy Cap will shoot 81 and take ALL your money when you play......

"Wow, what a day to have the round of my life"

Had no bites on his $200 buy-it-now, $180 starting auction.

Has relisted, without the wager, and at a lower price of $120. Obviously we weren't the only ones who thought the last auction was dodgy.

I wonder if they will try to organise the wager outside of the auction.
