Had to go to the British embassy in Sydney this morning to have my photo and fingerprints taken for my UK visa app.

The pic I understand, but there is a part of me that feels just slightly uneasy that the British Government now has my fingerprints on file.

Am I just being stupid, or would this leave you a bit unsure as well?

I guess this is how things are in the terrorist paranoia world at the moment.

I think you have a choice.

You can leave your fingerprints with them, or they will leave their fingerprints on YOU! :)

I know the civil libertarians don't think this way but if you have nothing to hide you don't have a problem.

Last time to the US everyone was finger printed at immigration - last time to Asia everyone's photo was taken.

My last job at the casino required finger prints being taken.

It is part of the world we live in post September 11.

I have a Top Secret clearance and I've never given up my fingerprints. Of course, they know everything else about me and my family.

No photos? If there were we'd all feel violated. ;-)
