Pending availability, which course would you prefer to play...

Approximates at this point...

The Colonial - $50 Mega, $60 Non (Currently held from 11:00am)
Palm Meadows - $75 (Playing Sunday by the looks, do we want two rounds?)
Robina Woods - Not available
The Glades - Not available
Royal Pines - $82.50 (Sorry for the confusion, price was incorrect)

I'll vote Glades because I've never played it and at that price it seems better value than the others, especially Colonial/Robina.

Only played Robina out of these 5 so I'm happy wherever!

your not coming anyway so should be banned from all these champ threads now. Bit like Blakey should be banned from major tipping threads :)

If we could get Royal Pines for $59 from 12:00pm on Saturday, would this be a gooer?

Major points in my book as no one plays the course regularly... G69 is the man with the golf books though.

Sounds good to me shavey. I haven't played Royal Pines in 10+ years.

Sorry guys, miscommunication about the RPR rate...

Looks like the Colonial will be the best option...

$82 to play Royal Pines !!! - that is absolutely terrible value

Shavey, might be best if you and G69 put your heads together and finalise the rounds. running polls is all fair and all but tends to drag out. Looking like Colonial PM, or 2 x PM are the options.

good call Pete - I'd prefer to play 2 different courses myself - unless PM is so good it is worth playing twice ?

Was Lakelands a possibility for Saturday?

shavey

Just awaiting a final answer but I'm thinking not...

Members until 12:30pm and with a full-field in front, will be hard pushed getting around in time.

jaybam

yes but at that time of year is daylight till 7pm

It will be cutting into valuable socialising (drinking) time if we finish too late.

PeteyD
21st July 2008, 01:53 PM
12:30 is a pretty late start for 10 groups or so.

BrisVegas

no worries, was just a thought as a few seemed keen to keep things central to Palm Meadows (and Lakelands is literally across the road).

Thanks for your efforts shavey & golfer69.

Yeah, but 40 single tee with 8 minute breaks means the last group is of at 1:10pm at the earliest. You would then be looking at 5+ hours for a round with 200+ players on course and sunset is at 6:15pm

Just a little too tight for my liking...
