Played at The Vintage last Friday with the GM and course superintendant.

They were saying there is a new 9 holes in development that was designed by Greg Norman when he did the original 18 (you can see the stakes from the clubhouse deck) and is being seen to reality by the superintendent.

They are also planning another 9 that will mostly sit out behind the 2nd and 3rd holes of the current course that they have spoken to a few designers about, including James Wilcher and some bloke from Queensland named Johnson (?).

They are also building a "19th hole" for hole-in-one competitions and for settling bets.

Played the course a few years ago and the then Sales Manager said the space was either going to go residential or extra holes.

Might check with the current sales manager in my boy Blaz to confirm possible completion dates.

Yeah im the current Sales Manager there at the moment. Originally the course was designed as 36 holes so yes there are plans for 9 of the original 36 to be added.

This will probaly start in 18months time as development on the Spa starts almost straight away which will be followed by the 196 room hotel and the 9 holes will be started around the same time as the hotel as far as i am aware. Also there will be 50 villas built to accomodate the 17 room spa which will go down the right hand side of the 10th hole.

with all this there will also be a new entry on Wine Country Road.

also a 15,000 seater ampitheatre in in the planning within the grounds of the hotel to host concerts etc in the Valley

With an extra 18 holes The Vintage has real potential to be one of the best (if not the best) spots to visit in NSW for golf and other related matters. In fact given what is reachable within an hour drive, and more accessible than many of the Vic areas this could be one the best golfing destinations to visit.

Looking forward to completion
