Recently sandblasted so will rust up in no time at all.

Do those little holes in the back make any difference Jarro?

Porting is supposed to lower ballflight, although i didn't notice any when i was using them.

I am a 12 handicap though.

Is that in comp only?

How is it supposed to lower the ballflight? How does it effect the loft of the club if there is a hole drilled in the back?

This is a serious question..

supposedly.... by removing weight from low in the clubhead, it raises the Centre of Gravity, thereby lowering the ballflight.

P.S. doesn't work for me but I'm only a 7hcap.

From the nomadgolfwrx.com website :

By milling (porting) two holes in the back of the club muscle, the center of gravity is raised. Porting moves the sweet spot to the center of the club, just where it should be. This will give your ball a lower trajectory, adding more control.

Being a little lighter, you may find you can throw them further.

pretty handy golfer i played with mentioned he had his ported to lighten the club. I asked him about the ball flight, he didn't believe it would be affected either, he simply wanted a lighted 'feel'.

ok, but looking at those clubs of Jarro's it is only a minute amount of steel that has been removed. How heavy would those wedge heads be and how much has been taken out of them?

Don't need to take much out to lighten a swingweight or two.

I remember seeing a WITB article on Ernie Els at one stage who did it to his wedges to give them a lighter feel as he preferred it for hitting softer touch shots.
