    Default Jugs by Ozgolfers

Been a witness to a dodgy tee shot by an OZgolfer that hasn't passed the ladies tee box? Had to buy your playing group a Jug recently? Share your woes ( and others) here...

My dad did it twice in a row on a short par 3 at Maylands. First was topped, but just the barest of contact so it just fell gently off the tee. The second was the best hosel rocket I've ever seen.

Played his 3rd from 30m left of the men's tee and proceeded to put it in a lake. Took a drop and then bladed it across the green into a small creek.

Oh, I actually meant finishing way behind the mens tee. Usually not good lies there either.

Ill have to nominate myself 3 weeks ago , Long drive hole in a saturday comp.. wound up and barely scraped it 5m in front before hitting a tree and trickling OOB.. loaded up again and knocked it roughly 10m past the B and C grade long drive and in line with the A grader ones.. I didnt claim it... and cost me a round of 4 rums :S

2 months into playing comp rounds (shows how long ago it was, 14 years) I had the longest drive with only 2 groups left to come through so thought I was a fair chance of winning it. Got beaten by the last group. Apparently a guy in the group (playing with the club captain, mind you) hit his first drive out of bounds then beat mine with his second. I was ****ing furious!

Hence why I didnt claim it , I could just think.. Imagine if I was the current long driver to be done by that!

Ill own up. 2 weeks ago. Par 5, hooked it left into a tree. Just stayed in bounds but was hard up against barb wire fence. Managed to knock it out onto the fairway. 3 wood on the green to 15 foot. Lipped out birdie putt. Only one in group to make par and still was my shout.

No offence, but that must be a short par 5!

480 if I remember rightly. The ladies tee is almost 100 in front. I hit a pretty good hybrid back out on the fairway that left me with about 210. But yeah it isn't a long par 5. But the distance to the ladies often leads to a shout.

We play the rule if you save par , no shout required. but we also make you pay for 4 putts , if you putt from on the green back off the green and if you hit more than 2 balls in the piss on a single hole. Been a few arvos where I couldnt drive home due to someone elses extremely bad round..

I like Oxy's three wood attempt during the last round when he won the Champs. Teed it up and took a swipe and topped it so bad it actually plugged where it was.
