Cinderella story, out of nowhere, former greenskeeper, now about to become a Masters champion..... It looks like a mirac.. It's in the hole! It's in the hole!
Same here, couldn't access the site either on the phone or laptop (all Telstra)
Couldn't get onto site from 1pm yesterday up until 11pm when i went to bed. Both work computer and phone no access to this site only, others working fine.

I have had the Telstra Auto VPN issue before. But it was more widespread, not single site impact like this one.
I suspect it may have been the host.
Not really that weird. Telstra had a routing issue that knocked out all connections to USA, obviously Ozgolf is hosted in the US. Pretty sure it was still out even until very late Wed night. I think the problem was with service providers at the other end of Telstras routing/peering etc not Telstras own gear. Though you would think that a company as big as Telstra would have alternate routes already in place.

So members don't visit any other U.S. sites? Weird.
I had no trouble getting on US sites it was only here and my friend in US could access this site but I couldn't until I used a VPN which hid I was from Australia
I could get on Ebay Australia and any other Australian site that I tried as well
Bump, seems to have been some outages this evening.
Ongoing and constant over the last few weeks as well.
I might need to change hosts, as they never got back to me on the original service ticket. Any recommendations?
Depends how much you want to pay and what the site needs disk/bandwidth wise.
And again this afternoon. I've been battling to get on for hours, and judging by the lack of posts in the last 5 hours, I wasn't the only one......
Yep same here. Just able to get back on now.
yep been down for a while
It only came back because I re-started the virtual server. If there are issues, please contact me; if I don't know, I can't do anything, although it is ****ing ridiculous that I have to do a restart.
I'm once again waiting for an answer from the host in regards to this on-going issue.
Don't know why it never clicked that you had a VPS. That being the case, it doesn't sound like a networking issue - more that the forum software is causing the web server to hang - whether it be because the CPU/RAM is maxed out, or something else.
Next time it happens it might be worth doing a bit of quick troubleshooting; if you have shell access you could run top and see whether something is obviously maxed. If it is, the next thing is figuring out what causes it... that could be easier said than done. But if it's just apache that's hung (for example) you may be able to set a cron job to just restart that early in the morning once a week or something.
Anyway sorry I didn't contact you - I figured you would know about it eventually and I was out playing golf most of the arvo anyway!
It was the same early this morning for me as well as this afternoon.
Has been happening to me for most of the weekend, very intermittent.
