    Default Winter golf prep

Being from Melbourne where it’s now getting cold and wet im after some tips on gear.
Keen on wet weather pants and top.Any suggestions?Obviously Footjoy have a great product but very pricey.I have just got a pair of Taylormade rain control gloves.Any feedback on them?I have found the Hot hands satchels work well to keep hands warm.Any tips or iinfo appreciated.

Cross make better wet weather gear than FJ. Cheaper as well. Highly recommended

Mizuno is also very good at wet weather gear

Thin layers. And you warm up soon enough, as long as its not too windy. A beanie keeps your head warm, a quality stretchable vest or gilet keeps the body warm and doesn't restrict swinging too much

Teeing off first group in the frost for 4 months of the year, I have finally relented and bought mittens for this winter, but others also use the little hand warmers.

As for wet weather gear, spend more than you wanted and you won't regret it. Most important is waterproof shoes.

There is a very good sale on ATM on the R&A website selling off the last of the Royal Liverpool gear.

Agree with Wayne, spend plenty on the rain gear and shoes, it is worth it.

I still have Mizuno rain gear, 15 years old, and ECCO shoes. HIghly recommend both.

im just coming out of winter in the north hemi

without a doubt the no 1 item is a merino long sleeve shirt , 150mm weight is perfect and a light wool jumper.
maiximises stretch freedom and heat regulation.

ice breaker and smartwool or mountain design are all good /great options.

merino wool beanie is another have to have and a right hand ski glove , wol glove , for the elbow breaker days. keeps them fingers full of blood.

playing in 2-5* most weekends u get used to the essentails.

I wear a jumper and beanie in winter. Haven’t worn long pants for a couple of years.

    6am tee time.

Shorts and shirt. That'll do you up to about 4°C.

If it's colder than that why the **** are you out there?
