Default Masters Green Jacket Presentation - Did Scotty Ignore Jon

Is it just me or did Scotty completely ignore Jon Rahm when presented with the green jacket?? Scotty did not look at him, even after Jon patted Scotty on the back as he presented the jacket. I was sort of expecting a thank you or at least a hand shake....but there was nothing!!

Mind you I am kinda pleased no LIV player won the event. (now I'll duck for cover).

Interesting to note, and I'm sure everyone else heard this too, one of the commentators just had to have a dig at LIV and in the final round said "....all of the five leaders on the leaderboard are pga tour players" (or words to that effect) lol

You cant tell me that LIV are not trying to sign up ABerg.
Guessing he wants a few majors first...

ABerg and Scheffler were in a different league to the other players. Fleetwood came back hard as well with quality shots, and i wanted to see more of Hatton.. but the coverage was too busy with Cantlay and Sebb Straka.

..and the sooner they sort out this LIV/PGA nonsense the better.. it is getting tedious.

I was literally saying that myself too, i.e. why are we seeing so much of f$%#ing Cantlay and Straka. Hardly saw a shot of Cam Smith's.

Aberg is a talent that's for certain. He's clearly at a different level to most on the big stage.

Yep, the hatred towards the LIV players seems to know no bounds. I'd just like to see them all playing against each other again, even just 8-10 times a year.

I can see the Brothers Hojgaard and Aberg not taking the money until they had a significant major exemption via a major win. However, a win this year, and they take the cash - however many hundreds of millions.

Seeing as the tours were meant to be back together by now, and Rahm as expressed something resembling slight regret, I am wondering if anyone will jump in the next few months. LIV going to 72 players next year may change things significantly, but at what point do the Saudis just decide that this isn't going to work and they are pulling the plug.

Golf is a bit like any other sport though. When players leave, new players fill the gaps quickly when given the greater opportunities.

Personally, I'd love to see the DP do a 180 and work with LIV and totally set fire to the PGA. Won't happen though

Seeing as the PGA tour has 40% European tour ownership, that may be challenging.

    Final day did not disappoint.
Four tied at 6 under as the last group teed off the 8th.
Everything happened over the next 5 holes and 1 person got through those while the rest made costly mistakes.

Yes did notice there was a distinct lack of showing LIV players much at all.

At the real presentation on the 18th green, after Rahm put the jacket on, Scheffler turned around shook his hand.

Would have loved one or two players to have got thru those holes as well and make it a grandstand finish. It got a bit anticlimactic.

Appears it disappointed the viewing public, ratings in the US were down 20% according to something I saw, could believe that was replicated globally as well.

I don't think Scottie is really just that much of a crowd favourite. Clean, respectable, polite, uninspiring personality and golfer, .....boooooring. Robot.

Don't get me wrong, extremely good player obviously, iron play is probably best in the world right now....but yeah, robot.

Could be a people are no longer in Covid/Lock down with nothing better to do than watch Golf on TV.
I’d be more interested if it’s a drop pre Covid.

Bradbury won when the guys in front of him fell over. Scottie won when the guys behind him fell over. Not the same.
