Shaft removed from a driver- not a clean job.
The shaft measures 109cm- 42.9in.
Will require roughly 10mm cut down for a clean tip.

Or applied too much heat and twisted rather than hydraulically separated?
Bitter, you are correct. The golf shop pro tried to remove the shaft from its sleeve. Not a snapped shaft. It was already a short shaft not the standard 45in length. My ad should read, the shaft removed from sleeve attempt gone wrong.
Are they replacing the shaft?

Can we not use it for a fairway wood?
Depends what the tip-trimming guide says for that shaft for fairway woods. You've lost an inch or so where it broke off, and have to cut off another 1/2 inch. Probably makes it play at least X-stiff, if not stiffer.
