GOLFLINK
Given that I'm not really in control of my golf ball, the strategy of a course matters less for me. What has me like a course is great surfaces, pretty settings, undulation, shots you don't see elsewhere. So I didn't really rate Maroochy River, was a bit flat and bland modern course. My fav's of the four I played were Twin Waters and Bribie Island. Pacific Harbour was my least fav. Too tight. Hazard down both sides of most fairways. Houses too close. Pretty enough though.

Try Cooroy on the way up there.
Fantastic mix of holes.
Hi to you all.
Thank you for your contributions.
I ended up playing Meleny and Maroochy River. Both very different but a decent test.
The drive up to Meleny is something to behold and it's worth stopping to admire the views from here to the coast.
Meleny: they have rebuilt the first green which has just opened this week. Greens are firm and the fairways had taken a fair amount of rain so were not running. Nice hilly course. Watch out for the red bellies. Some very long grass in paces. Very friendly club. Shot 86.
Maroochy River: a little harder but not that much. Shot 87. More like a links course in some ways. Very flat. The wind was up so a two club wind in places making the par 4s into par 5s at times.
Thanks again.
