Default Sydney Lord Mayor wants to change Moore Park to 9 holes

According to her, "Across the world, golf courses are slimming down to a modern nine-hole format."

Not surprising from her really. She's living on another planet most of the time.

Other courses should go, but not one that comfortably makes money.

A typical media beat up. The only surprising thing about this is that it came from the Herald, not the Telegraph. Although the story is mildly supportive, so that is typical Herald.

If you read the article carefully, you'll see that the City of Sydney doesn't control the land, but they would like to, so they probably see that view as the most popular for their voters. More open space always sounds good to people in the inner city.

Far more concerning is the view of the local member (a Green) who thinks golf courses are a waste of valuable green space. Fortunately, being a Green, he has no credibility, and he probably knows he is on borrowed time.

I'd like to see it replaced with a big blue milk crate.

Stoopid cow is already destroying the CBD, she's certainly leaving a legacy.

I'm surprised the new Baird train didn't resume some of the course in the first place.
