    Default Hi...

Hi everyone. I'm Dunc, I've been meaning to join a forum for a while now and this site looks great. I'm keen to hear and share thoughts on courses around this part of the world. Probably also share some golf stories to save my poor wife from them

I'm in Christchurch, me and 3 friends have committed to an annual golf trip to Australia each year and I thought this would be a great place to get people's ideas on where to go. We did our first one this year, Barnbougle - what an amazing experience. I went there in the best form of my life and played like a complete chump. Great fun though.

Happy to share my thoughts on NZ courses if anyone's heading over this way too.

    Dunc

    Welcome bro.

Golf is, in part, a game; but only in part. It is also in part a religion, a fever, a vice, a mirage, a frenzy, a fear, an abscess, a joy, a thrill, a pest, a disease, an uplift, a brooding, a melancholy, a dream of yesterday and a hope for tomorrow. - New York Tribune, 1916.

Welcome Dunc72, presume this means you are in your 40s.

How come you aren't living here already and doing a trip home once a year?

As a guide there is no rugby talk allowed here until the Wallabies complete their rebuilding phase, pencil it in your diary for 2027, ten years is just not enough.

Thanks everyone! No rugby talk from me, I prefer the round ball game (Hull City - I'm probably the only fan on this side of the world!)

Ha...yeah my user name isn't very creative is it. I'd love to move over the ditch, might be on the cards in a couple of years as my wife wants to do her psych masters in Melbourne. For now I'll just plan the golf trips.
