Default Why ho-ing is good thing

A couple of days ago I did a post about ho-ing being pointless.

Today, I found out the opposite.

I have a big match on Sunday and went to my club today for a practice.

I opened my locker to find someone had opened it before and nicked my clubs.

    Fortunately, I have been ho-ing.

And I took out my driver, irons and two of my hybrids on Tuesday and put them in my range bag so I could do shootouts.

So all they got was my putter and two hybrids.

    They left my rusty wedges.

    Lesson learned.

In the modern world, most clubs have CCTV coverage in order to discourage things like that.

Assuming another member is the culprit, it is a very low act. Hopefully after the election public floggings will be reintroduced to deal with it. I hope your thief is the first test case.

    Bad luck, Dod.

At my own club, I think I remember hearing that all members are insured for one set of golf clubs.

Have never had to look into this myself... but, in your own case, might be worth checking with the GM to see if there's any cover.

About 12 years ago I had a full set nicked at my club and it was covered under insurance as part of my membership. I believe the regs have changed now but worth asking the question?

I'm a member at Moore Park. As a public course we get strangers wandering through the lockers a lot.

I don't for a minute think it was a member.

Guy here many many years ago too many clubs from lockers. He was busted later, for that and a few other things and went to jail for a few years. Joined the same club he stole from a few years back, they couldn't legally stop him as 10 (i think) years had passed or something along those lines.

We have insurance, but there is a $500 excess.

On the bright side, after managing the rare feat of both a five putt and a four putt the other week, perhaps God is telling me I need a new putter.
