Default What did you shoot - May 2016

(Let's try this again!), 82/73 (for 35 points), in the mid-week MM round at NH today. Started off great (par, birdie, par) but snap hook (one of two for the day), off the tee on the 4th lead to a litany of errors (and a dent in my 6 iron), totaling 10 strokes after I thought I could hit it away from the boundary fence.

Did my best to fight back but a lost ball on the par 5 16th ended all hope and all that was left was to limp to the finish.

Also, waiting on my replacement putter so was putting with a blade for the first time in a couple of months and it didn't help so a few unwelcome 3 jiggles added to a frustrating day.

Positives to take out of today:

    a) my irons are starting to come back.

    b) whilst no less devastating, snap hooks are better than block cuts

For all the crap I give Monsta, he won the midweek Medal today with a nett 68, equivalent of 40 points on a day when it was howling and tough.

    Good work mate!

89/78 in monthly medal. Drove well, irons were solid enough but let down by shots that needed a bit of touch. Haven't played or practiced enough recently.

85/72 in the monthly medal today at Nudgee.

47/38. Had a quad on the first hole so thought it was going to be bad. Managed to scrap it together for a 3 over handicap. Enough to lose 0.1 off the handicap.

85/76 in the MM at NH today. A day of really good shots followed by equally bad shots. Frustrating. Really pissed off after 'losing' my ball on the 16th after no one saw it leave the tee box, played a provisional and scored 6 for 1 and then found it just the other side of a small bush as we walked to the next tee box; a short chip distance from the green!

    6 GIRs
    6 FIRs
    32 putts (one 3 jiggle)
    1 birdie

Stoopid game. After the shocker up in QLD I ended up striking the ball really well. 84/73 in the MM today.
5 x 3 jiggles stopped it being a good round.

    MM @ Kapunda

Stank it up big time today.
Worst day with the putter that I can remember. Missed birdies from 3 foot and a foot plus 5 3 jiggles added to the stench.

    Stats
    Score_43-46 =89/82 which is 28pts
    Effective Drives_3-4 =7
    Greens in Reg_1-5 =6
    GIR from ED_1-3 =4
    Putts_16-20 =36
    x1 Birdie, x4 doubles, x1 triple, x5 3 jiggles, x1 OOB, x1 ball moved penalty

Must have been tough out there today... I'm tied 4th in gross (3 shots back) and in the seeded groups tomorrow.
