    Post New guy from Victoria

    Hey everyone,

New to the forum, and relatively new to the game. Played a little with friends when I was a teenager but decided to get back in to the game recently. Currently using a new set of Cleveland CG Black clubs, D | 3W | 3H | 4i-SW & Ping Cray-Z Putter.

I've played 2 rounds of 9 over the last 6 weeks, and my first round of 18 yesterday.

I'm using the GolfPad App for Android and it's been great!

Here is my scorecard from yesterday, very happy with the result. Driver was struggling with an inconsistent fade/slice but putter was on fire!

    Screen Shot 2015-09-16 at 4.34.11 pm.jpg

Look forward to chatting with you guys and seeing if anyone around Western Victoria is keen to play.

    Cheers,

    Brent

Welcome Brent, hope you enjoy the forum. It is of great concern to me that somebody who just played their first 18 in years is doing better than my average round.

I'm from down your way - which course did you play yesterday? I'm trying to think of which course has a par 5 to finish, but I don't remember scorecards very well. Great score in any case.

Keep an eye out for a hit being organised at Thirteenth Beach in a month or two. I'll go bump the thread.
Still not playing enough GolfLink | Slightly less terrible stats brought to you by Golfshot - F: 57%, GIR: 23%, UD: 14%, P: 34. Wow, improvement! | Nickent brand ho or tightarse? You be the judge!

Oh, that's right. Sands Torquay. Within a 50km radius is a pretty good result for me.

    Welcome Brent.

Golf is, in part, a game; but only in part. It is also in part a religion, a fever, a vice, a mirage, a frenzy, a fear, an abscess, a joy, a thrill, a pest, a disease, an uplift, a brooding, a melancholy, a dream of yesterday and a hope for tomorrow. - New York Tribune, 1916.

Hey Larry! I知 looking forward to getting involved in the forum, it seems really active and a great bunch of people. Haha it was definitely a very good first 18 back, thanks to my putter. I played Barwon Valley, and it was a nice course, lots of dog legs which isn稚 great for my slice, but I made it work with the short game.

I played Melton today and hit 100 with a ridiculous amount of near misses with the putter, the greens were lightning there today. That gives me an average of 94.5, hope that makes you feel better.

I知 keen to have a hit with people in the area for sure. I値l check out that thread and book in the dates to make sure I知 available. Where do you play?
