    G'day everyone.
Thought i'd join this forum as I'm keen on getting back into the game.
I used to play socially many years ago, & no longer have a set of clubs.
I have a few friends that are starting to play more frequently & are asking me to start coming to the local club.
I'm hoping to get advice from the members on this forum, as it is my birthday coming up soon & when my lovely wife asks me what I want, I will be saying "A new set of clubs, dear".
If anyone could give me any suggestions (I'm looking at something under-$500 mark, & looking at Ebay), keeping in mind I'm only going to be playing socially & will be requiring some quite forgiving clubs. I am also right handed.
I never got a handicap back when, but When I used to play, anything under 60, over 9 holes was a good round .
Thanks in advance for your help.

Welcome and it's good to see you getting back to having a whack. Plenty of stuff in the pro shop for well under $500, a few here could probably kit you out with sticks, bag and buggy for that money. Have fun

    Welcome to the forum.

Golf is, in part, a game; but only in part. It is also in part a religion, a fever, a vice, a mirage, a frenzy, a fear, an abscess, a joy, a thrill, a pest, a disease, an uplift, a brooding, a melancholy, a dream of yesterday and a hope for tomorrow. - New York Tribune, 1916.

AlexMac is in Dubbo, and he knows quite a lot about how to buy things from the pro shop.

As far as playing advice goes, we know everything, but we don't always agree with each other about what we know. But we love answering questions.

    Enjoy the forum.
