    To answer the question in the thread title, the answer is no.

    I'll have a look for it later, but there is a video (which I thought was on the Golf Digest site, but maybe it isn't) with a guy who takes about 10 shots to go 100yds, then has about 5 aireys and gives up. It must be genuine, because you simply wouldn't exaggerate to the degree this guy demonstrates.

    Mate of mine did something very similar except he french cut it and it hit himself in the jatz crackers.
    Funniest shit I've ever seen on a golf course (closely followed by my mates putting their entire cart into a dam @ Gainsborough Greens few years back)
