    Default Week Commencing 17/11/14

    At KJs request

Played Shell Cove today. Shot even par around the front 9. Lost my shit on the back 9. Ended up with 28/16 for 44pts to win the Tuesday comp. Replaced a played to 10 so it looks like I have avoided the anchor for now and only ended up getting back 0.1 on the cap!

If you have a round like that today you might even be able to beat Binh!

    Nice round Peps.
I only had 41pts at hawks nest yesterday and got beat in a countback for 1st prize. Played most of the round just taking my lumps when in trouble by chipping out instead of going for the miracle shot all the time like usual.

Played this morning in very hot and humid conditions, had a good front nine with 20 points but lost it from 10 to 14 were I had 3 1 pointers and a wipe. Finished with 33 points after a good last few holes.

34 points with the SA boys at Kooyonga today. Should have been much better. I was 2 up after 12 then had a bit of a choking finish. After a number of good bunker saves I had a total meltdown on the last par 3. We don't have a thread for taking 4 in a bunker thankfully. I followed that with two three putts in a row.
I did get two birdies though.

36 points (17/19) this morning at Richmond with a wipe.

Pretty placid conditions and not too unhappy with how I was hitting it generally.

Played the Penrith open today and shot 3 over 75 with a double on the 9th our final hole....

Played the best I have possibly all year with only a handful of bad shots and was able to get out of trouble most of the time. annoyingly the shots I dropped were for the most part simple mistakes, which is both encouraging and frustrating at the same time.

Nice to see the game coming back after my surgery earlier in the year

    Default Week Commencing 17/11/14

3rd round of Championships - 86 ( 40/46 ) - equal best round off the blacks I've had at GC - three 3-putts and a treble on the back nine, no doubles all day - even with my 97 last week I just missed out on playing in the B Grade seeded group for the last round on a countback? - way off the pace but will try for PB tomorrow

I played a bad game of golf today for 27 points in the SA Champs warmup round at Lady Bay. I stumbled around the front without too much drama but my game fell apart on the back.
I have decided that I don't need to post in the 4 putt thread because I didn't actually hit the ball when attempting to tap in the third putt on 17.

Just as well we don't have an airy thread here.

36 points today at Lady Bay. An unremarkable 17/19 split

Best part of it was only 3 holes where I got 2 points - and 2 birdies in one round for the first time ever

    I'm worried I've peaked..

We loan Jim to the croweaters for a weekend, and they have already changed him.

We won't recognise him at the next NSW OZgolf game.

What's next on your agenda? Stop Peppas smiling?

    Probably, the big meanie.

I had 33pts. I think the 7 days of golf in 8 days is taking effect as my body is pretty weary now. I didn't hit many good shots and lacked a lot of consistency but managed to score now and then. We will see how the body takes RA today!

Last round of the Championships - 89 ( 44/45 ) - sixth gross and fifth nett in B Grade - second round 97 didn't help - going okay today but still found a triple on the back and missed a tiddler for a three-putt on the last (got all the other little ones but) - bring on next year

32 points at Royal Adelaide in the SA Champs today. The course was there for the taking but I wasn't good enough to take it. I blew so many shots around the greens it wasn't funny. Good shots were often followed by bad ones and much head shaking resulted.
I need a rest now, after three days in a row.

29 points on Saturday, (18/11). Had 32 the week before and the 29 felt better, just couldn't make a putt bigger than 6 feet all day and missed 3 inside three feet. I can feel a good one coming soon, just need to put it together for 18.

    My weekend report

Friday Kooyonga 38pts played well kept ball on fairway most of the day.

Sat Links Lady Bay 37pts great day only blemish was a four putt from 15ft on the hardest hole on the course when putting for birdie.

Sunday RA 35pts started well lost the plot then fought back on the back nine happy that I came back after some ordinary shots and lipping out putts.

Monday Fleurieu 41pts 22 on the front with one wipe. Went for too much out of a fairway bunker caught the lip twice. Second nine not as good but only because the five footers weren't going in.

Never played four days in a row before so just had a ball !

Shot of the weekend was the lefty draw on Fluro 18 just to shut up the anti left handed interstaters.
