    Default Another returning golfer

Seems there are a few of us who used to play, stopped and have now come back to the game.

Like a couple of other recent "newbies" on here, I've just returned after a 10 year absence.
Kids are now all grown up and it was my son who started playing golf himself and dragged me along that got me back into it.
I'm now (after 6 months back) even more obsessed with the game than I ever was. Not any better tho...

Already got rid of my old clubs and tried a few more recent models. Settled at the moment on 2 sets of irons that I'm gaming.
Callaway X20's and Taylormade Burners. Both nice and forgiving which obviously I need being rusty. Still swapping and changing driver, woods, wedges, putter and hybrids. But I probably will keep on swapping and changing. It's a nice hobby keep looking, buying, trying and selling.

Finding this is a great forum for news, views, tips, and bargains. As well as inane chat

Welcome dazza. Have fun in the pro-shop.

Golf is, in part, a game; but only in part. It is also in part a religion, a fever, a vice, a mirage, a frenzy, a fear, an abscess, a joy, a thrill, a pest, a disease, an uplift, a brooding, a melancholy, a dream of yesterday and a hope for tomorrow. - New York Tribune, 1916.

    Thanks guys.

Spent most time looking in the pro-shop already Some people have some great stuff up for grabs.

Was nearly going to get a putter off someone (goonie?) , but when I got back to the thread, it had already gone! Gotta be quick around here...

Although I currently have 4 or 5 putters so I don't need any more. Do I? Do I??...
