    Default Canberra Christmas Classic

Sunday 28th of December, 16 spots 11.32 to 11.56 1st tee at Gungahlin Lakes GC. 3 months after a million dollar irrigation project has completed, and the course has come back well.

    Will be single stableford.

    EOI's requested below.

    1. Benno B Grade Champ
    2. Monsta B Grade Runner Up
    3. Jerry Springer A Grade Nett Winner
    4. Dannycallaz
    5. Buzz
    6. Grunt (most famous for putting it into the halfway house on 13th)
    7. Dotty (carried an 11 wood)
    8. Benno_r (reigning NSW Champ)
    9. Peppas
    10. MrBluu (Light Jarro style pencil)
    11. KJ
    12. Titleist
    13. Two Putts
    14. Mrs Jerry Springer - will outdrive the boys all day
    15. Denton (long time supporter of this event)
    16. Matt 3 Jab

For all entrants, can you PM me your golflink numbers. I still need proper names and numbers for the following

Buzz, DunTeachin, Two Putts and Matt 3 Jab

For those super keen, Benno_R is coming down from Queensland on the Saturday afternoon, so they are looking at Federal twilight Saturday, and an early tee time Monday at Yowani. Monsta is organising these bonus days as I will be out of town when they are on.

Or in the case of Gungahlin Lakes' 10th hole ... '7 wood, 6 hybrid'.

Boys wanting to make a weekend of it (NOTE - I CAN'T DO SATURDAY!)

Just made some calls - Federal - Monday is open day, green fees $75 - no comp, but social play ok.
Yowani - Monday - open comp day, $46 including comp fee.

I'm thinking you might be able to do it this way - Saturday afternoon, play Federal Twilight - should be ok to do it, cost is $30 after 4pm. This is a bargain and there will be light to around 9pm.
Sunday morning:sightsee Canberra for a bit, then Gungahlin Lakes comp around 11:30 to paly for the Christmas Tree - cost is about $30 including comp fee as members guest.
Monday morning: Yowani open pro comp, tee off early and should be finished in plenty of time to get Benno2 to the airport which is about 15 minutes away. $46 including comp fee.

That way, you get what I think are the #2,3 and 4 rated courses in Canberra at good rates

I can't put anyone up as my inlaws are staying at our place, so I will be glad to get out of the house

He can try. Probably $250 green fee. And you only get to play 10-18 and 19-27.

1-9 is currently being dug up by Mike Clayton, so getting a tee time is difficult for the members, let alone the guests!

Good plan benno1.0, shame to miss RC, but I'll see what I can scam. I don't suppose being NSW champ carries much weight in ACT?

Awesome, so we have a full group for Sunday and Monday. Just need to organise the Saturday.

Will I need to do a long range booking for Federal, or we can organise closer to the date?

Give them a call - you may be able to get into the comp on the Saturday at the end of the field

Yep I've played in a couple of Saturday comps at Federal. Not necessarily an "open comp" but they have been pretty accommodating.

When visiting my bro in law in Canberra it has become our course of choice.
