Nice course there playing in Cork, Ireland for the Irish open.
Technically the Scottish Open is an Euro Tour event, even though quite a bit of the interest factor is how the US players go.
Royal Aberdeen this year, instead of the waste of time (from an Open warmup point of view) that is Loch Lomond.
They have played the British Senior at Aberdeen a few times, so I have seen the course before, but it is still good viewing. True Links, and the breeze is blowing as I am watching.
It is on Fox Plus in case people can't find it on the regular sport channels.

Rory's drive of 441 yards or what ever it was couple days ago, that's huge!

played there about 10 years ago, really great links course, looks like a goaty from the clubhouse
Colsaerts hits record drive, but will miss Ryder Cup;

There is a bit of a Ryder Cup hangover in evidence at the Dunhill Links happening at the moment.
Rory, Kaymer and the VDub nowhere near the lead. Steven Gallacher appears to be the only cupper in contention.
I'm never sure about this tournament. While in some ways it is good to see celebrities playing, in this event there are far too many JP McManus and Chubby Chandler type players that I simply don't care about. The only time I don't mind seeing the numpties is when they are playing the Road Hole.
Still, with nothing happening in the USA, this is just about the only golf we can watch right now.

Do you think the organisers are praying that Henrik Stenson wins his Matchplay semi much?
I certainly won't be staying up until all hours to find out if George Coetzee can beat either of Joost Luiten or Mikko Ilonen.
This is why broadcasters don't like matchplay. The names get knocked out too easily and you are left with guys nobody cares about.

There are some posts (justifiably) in the Poulter thread regarding the Turkish Open this week, but he isn't the leader.
With all the appearance money dished out this week, the organisers are probably cheering for other players, but my South Australian friends will surely be trying to find links to prove they are close personal friends of Wade Ormsby!
Has anyone ever typed GO WADE!!!
Talk about a guy coming out of nowhere onto the biggest stage. I hope he can do the job.

Will he be there next Sunday?
If so, we might lower ourselves to give him some advice about matching the right shafts to his clubheads.
I just switched it over from the cricket. He's not looking good for the win. Hopefully he can hold on for a high place and big cheque, but it seems everybody is making birdies except him.
