Not sure it belongs in here but after a solid start to the year Michelle Wie broke through for her first win on US soil at the LOTTE Championship today. Been a long time coming for the supposed 'teen phenom'.

Wow I thought Jack Nicklaus bent over a lot when he putted. Wie's back is pretty much horizontal!

He got his own back with that bunker shot. Good on him especially after the 3 putt on 17...

And so close for Luke Donald! Good to see him competing again. Not much you can do though if a guy shoots 64 on Sunday including that hole out. I like Kuch.

Mr Patrick "top 5" Reed had a bit of karma come his way this morning.

Hopefully Senden and Bowden both come to Oz after their recent wins

Have to admit , I have always chucked at least 1 in per round but normal BAD one is from leaving a longish putt well short

I know I've personally been harsh on him for the last few years whinging about not getting invites while playing like a busted ass but I hope he can do something this year and get his card. He did look good out there, not as good as Ben Martin though.

Looks like the sponsors invites are drying up as well. Hope he keep it going for a few more days!

Well, he made the cut which is a good start.
In other news I read this today....

Interesting. There have been 3 other sources that have also claimed the same thing. Brad Faxon and Denis Pugh from SkySports is the other.

Can see him leaving Foley, can't see it being to go back to Butch.

It would surely be a no win situation for Butch too. He already got his fame and fortune from Tigers wonder years and wouldn't have a lot to gain from being associated with an ageing injured Tiger.

I've read that Foley has been given the flick as well. Hopefully this is true but if so I hope it won't take too long for him to dominate again. Maybe he is looking to 2015 to get fully rolling again.
Hope Duval can have a good weekend!

Great situation for Butch. Tiger coming back says a ton it itself, regardless of results.

I thought the Foley swing was designed to reduce wear and tear on his legs or some such. Surely he's not going to remodel things majorly again? It took him so long to be in control of the new/current swing.

But then if he doesn't get him back to winning majors? It could be considered a failure.

No, I think he'd go find someone that has a similar philosophy to Foley, that way it would only be minor changes.
