I had noticed that too. Nearly posted in here about it. Surely not everyone has such a grip on everything, or maybe I just find amusement in more situations?

Getting a shot back, birdie the hole, and forgot. Had I recorded 4 points instead of 3, I would have lost a shot, and not lost a beer. [facepalm]

Why didn't the committee adjust your score? The responsibility is for you to have the correct number of strokes on the hole marked down, not record the correct number of points.

Floggers who bring cheap tennis racquets in and want them strung as tight as you can get. I explain to them that their racquet is crap and can't take the higher tension. So I restring it at maxium recommended and sure as Scotty will 3 putt in comes back as too loose. Just restrung one at 75lbs so will see if he can play like Borg.

Probably cheaper to buy another crap racquet anyway? Or do they wanna feel like pros with their custom tensions, and gut strings?

That is true, but I think many committees only check hole by hole for winners.

Sounds like They need the automated score card that is used these days.
It picks up errors instantly, and can be fixed with the push of a button as your card is entered.

They're great if your course has a spare $20k lying around. Most of us don't have that luxury.

Do you own a Lancer by any chance?
Mine got recalled not to long ago.
"Mitsubishi explains that the engine’s resin pulley may wear unevenly due to the use of inappropriate material for the ancillary equipment V ribbed belt.
