Default Family and Friends accommodation rates - updated again

    Help yourself guys...

Great News! I've enrolled in the IHG Friends and Family program and am now able to offer you discounted hotel stays. As a friend or family member, you now have access to special hotel rates only available to friends and family of IHG employees! Information and rules for booking the rate are available on the program web site accessible through the link below.

    http://www.ihgfriendsandfamily.com/mxvtk4

    Getting started is easy:
    • Click on the link to enter the exclusive booking site
    • You can make bookings up to 50 weeks in advance
    • Download the voucher - which you must present at check-in
    • Enjoy your trip!
*The Friends and Family rate is only available through the link in this email. You must use the link provided to make your reservation or you will not get the discount. Feel free to share this with other friends, but if you forward the email to anyone else, please make sure they know to use the link to get the discount.

This is still valid as of 27th August 2012

    Thanks Steve.

When you gave this to me earlier I wasn't sure if the rate was built into the links when you try to find a hotel or whether it was a set percentage or what.

Can you give a bit of clarity on how exactly it works?

I believe it's a percentage off the daily rate with a limited amount of rooms allocated per hotel per day.

Just checked some rates then and they are pretty damn good...

So the rate presented after going in through that portal is the rate? No other things to calculate?

Just go to step three on that link and you can check the rates at whatever hotel you want. Once booked, complete the other steps...

Just one other question, on the main page it tells me to print off the voucher to present on arrival. (Step 2) (http://images3.ichotelsgroup.com/cq/...mp/Voucher.pdf)

It then asks for my IHG Employee name, and the employees location.
Should we disregard this, and head into Step 3? Just book the room & rock up?

    Thanks

So does that mean we can only book accommodation until the end of May? Was hoping to use it in Canberra over the June long weekend is all...

Are the Gold Coast rates good? I was thinking of staying down there Friday night next week.

AP, I don't know what the individual rates are as they change daily but booked the outlaws in the other day for $90 per night.

Coffs, the Pelican Waters deal I have already organised is better than this as it included full buffet breakie...

I ended up joining Priority Privilege after using the Family & Friends deal over the June Long Weekend - worked out pretty good because they gave us back our 2-for-1 vouchers so we can use them over again!

Plus when we used the Family & Friends deal in Canberra they were super attentive to us - rang regularly to make sure everything was good, got some free drinks and a discount on eating in the hotel. Was well worth it!

    Is this still going, Steve?

I can't see anything on the link saying it's not.
