Default Driving Ranges in (inner) Brisbane

    Guys,

After a pleasant break from the ranks of the employed, I start a fairly big challenge in employment land on Monday in Brisvegas. What that means is office hours Mon to Fri. Having my priorities right, I want to get to a driving range after hours during the week.

I've racked my brain about what floodlit driving ranges there are in the greater Brisbane area. I know about Victoria Park & have the dreaded dallas key but I can't stand hitting off mats and their small grassed area gets chockers too easily. So, if I can, I'll avoid Victoria Park.

I know that Nudgee driving range isn't open at night. Logan is.

Does anyone know of any floodlit driving ranges in Brisbane (with grass)?

    No driving range at Virginia.

Well, none that you can use after hours anyway

Thanks to all. I live inner northside, so it looks like the Carseldine range is the best option closely followed by Logan (it's only 30 mins on the Gateway arterial road).

On the southside there is always Mr Tees at Capalaba, and GolfMania at Manly.

The only problem with Carseldine are the Bogans who think its hilarious to honk their horn when you're teeing off the grass. You'll get at least two or three per 100 balls.

The same thing happens at Wynnum GC when teeing off from the 11th or 18th. (Effectively the same tee box).

Or when practising at Emerald Lakes when they used to play the Titans games at Carrara. The comments from the drunken meatheads walking past the range gave the impression that grade 3 english was a struggle for them.

Mt Gravatt driving range has mats, grass & a small bunker too. alas, no honking bogans to sharpen your focus.

Not a bad deal at Mt G. You can buy a 10 bucket (100balls) card for $80

Mr Tees at Capalaba has a great grassed area but alas is not floodlit at night.
