    Cool 2009 NQ Matchplay

    As per this post...

    1. Courty
    2. Haysey
    3. Ned Kelly
    4. Mike
    5. BrettM
    6. Julie
    7. Russell
    8. Cookie
    9. Solarman

Scoring is 20 points for a win, 10 for a squared match, with a point per margin (eg 2&1 is 3 points, 5&3 8 points).

    Semi-final :-

Game 1: Ned Kelly vs. Russell
    Game 2: Courty vs. Solarman

    Final :-
Ned Kelly vs. Courty (03/01/10 AM - Mossman)

Golf balls are like eggs. They're white. They're sold by the dozen. And you need to buy fresh ones each week.

It's a shame to have to finish that way, but so be it. I'll put Brett down as the winner by forfeit. It can't all finish until Ned plays Solarman though, as Bob could sneak into 4th with a win against Ned (assuming Cookie is still available to play). I'll get in touch with the guys and try to have something resolved in the next week, then I can get the 2010 Matchplay up & running (with a few small modifications to hopefully make it run smoother). In fact, look here.

Brett, there's a group of us possibly coming up to play Sea Temple in a couple of weeks. Only problem is it will be a Friday. ( 4th or 11th. Don't know yet )

We can play then if you'd like. If that doesn't suit, the match is yours.

The Sea Temple Open 'may' be cancelled due to lack of numbers. A decision will be made tomorrow on the FNQ golf website. If so, then we might be able to tee it up.

However, I was due to tee it up with Messrs Kapor and Co. from Cairns GC. I'll check their plans and if it is cancelled will let you know. They may still come up for a round still.

Oooooh, a Solarman win this weekend will push him to 4th place and knock Cookie out of the finals. How TF did Bobsticle manage to get himself in that position?

He was telling me the other day that he can't wait for the 1st of feb next year. His new handicap will be somewhere around the 28 mark

It was an extra $65 the other week. Call out fee apparently.

Nice one, Bob. Going by the size of the trophies, the NQ Matchplay is close to the biggest title on OZgolf.

Great trophy guys. My wife doesn't understand why guys like big shiny things in their pool rooms.

    1st post updated.

Wow, I never saw that coming (should have looked closer in the first place ).

Solarman leapfrogged Cookie AND Russell to finish 3rd.

That means the semis are Ned vs. Russell, and me vs. Mr Tissue. Hopefully both these matches can be played at Sea Temple in a fortnight.

Next weekend will finally see whether the Count is mentally tough enough to overcome Solarman (and his many strokes advantage).
    It's a battle of the M's.....Man / Mouse.....Mossman / Mareeba.
Stay glued to this channel...or should I say thread.
