Played this morning with a couple of new-ish members at the club, a young guy and a couple of probably 50 ish Irish guys. They were ok to play with, although we had an interesting 17th hole.

One of the Irish guys hit his approach into 17 from about 200m out, as the group in front was walking off the green. Hits it in their direction and calls 'fore'. One of the guys in the group yells back 'c*ckhead' or something similar as the ball nearly hits them.

Anyway get down to the green and the Irish guy goes up to the group in front who had just teed off on the 18th. Asked them what they had called him and one of the guys again says 'you're a c*ckhead mate for hitting, you should have waited until we had got further off the green. Irish guy asks him again what did you call me? the guy says 'c*ckhead'.

All the while i'm busy lining up my putt, next thing i know the Irish guy cracks the other guy in the head, kicks him in the leg, and takes him down to the ground. Was just about to start raining more blows down on him but the other guy pleaded for mercy.

Irish guy walks back calmy, says 'that guy had a big mouth, where i come from if you have a big mouth you better know how to fight'.

I was speechless to say the least, at least my putt went in and doubt i will be seeing that guy again!

Anyone else got a weird story like that?

Hi,

Just thought I'd briefly check in and give an update.

As most know, I pretty much closed up my business and started a new career (one that even pays money!). I am now sellin' cars and quite enjoying it. The hours are taking some getting used to (60 per week at the moment).

Unfortunately, I made the decision to keep all (or most) of my gear and set it up at home again as a hobby thing BEFORE I got the car salesman job, so for the last 12 weeks most of it all has been sitting in my carport still in boxes. I have started to re-arrange it, but with weekends being severely shortened these days (and recent family committments) I am WAY behind where I want/need to be.

However, I have made a couple of appointments that will FORCE me to get it all setup by next weekend or so (it may not be perfect or finalised though).

After a full day tomorrow, I'll take some pics of the new TourFit 'facility' and post them in here...should be fun to get some comments!

Hopefully, I'll also be on the forum and posting a bit more.
