Unfortunately I am not playing in the Toowoomba or Headland easter comps this year, due to a birthday and the Reds Waratahs game. Redland Bay has an Easter Cup, where they have the best 2 of 3 stab rounds on Sat/Sun/Mon. I am hoping to play 2 rounds at least. Should be good.

Damn it all to hell, lost another matchplay game lol. No complaints outplayed and beaten on the 18th hole with a score of one up to my opponent. Had to give 5 strokes and if it was not for the third last hole being a par three and having to give a stroke, (Match play index of 4 and Stroke play index 18 ) it would have been a bit easier. Great fun though toamble around a course chatting and playing damn serious golf and it was on the 12th hole that I blew it in ...

Sunday 17th April

It was a pleasure to finally have a competition round on my home track for the first time in a 4 weeks. The fine weather was a bonus, the true enjoyment came from being able to put the practice for the past couple of weeks to the test. With enough breeze to be a moderate influence and not a matter of fighting to stand upright on the tee, the results were good. Hitting 7 fairways and 5 drives no more that 1-2 metres off. Thursday 14th April

Not been very satisfying performance wise on the courses for the past few weeks. A little mentally flat same as this time last seasonafter Southern Ports, still put in some good rounds at the home track. Away from home though on different courses my play to say the least has been below average. It is still a novelty to look at my current handicap of 14and picture this time last season when it was 19 or 20, 6 strokes higher!

Probably not the ideal place to try and break 80, but I need to do this where ever I am playing.

Went to the range after work today. Concentrated on some of the Gerry Hogan stuff (God tell time) and my own 'soft arms' theory. Was hitting em better than when I played the Wynnum Cup. So I am looking forward to the weekend.

Spent a fair amount of time hitting just the 7 iron, to different targets and from different lies. Seems to be working nicely.
